Island Cats and Dr. Marshall are great!  I've taken my cats there for years and Dr. Marshall is always warm, professional, and willing to take as much time as needed to explain options, procedures, and recommendations.

He doesn't do unnecessary tests.  He listens to his clients.  And he is so gentle and loving with the pets.  

I only wish I could find a family medicine doctor who is as great as Dr. Marshall.

In late 2007 we found a stray cat who was at death's door. Our regular vet was unable to see us on short notice.

Despite a cancerous leg and extreme neglect, the skill and compassion of Dr Marshall and his team at Island Cats pulled Sofie through. Thanks to them, she got to enjoy her ninth life, and she spent her last couple of years as a much loved member of our household.  Island Cats is now our cat vet of choice on Mercer Island.

I had written a review of this vet years ago, I can't say enough good things about them.  The office is nice and clean and laid back.  It is a great place for cats.  One time our cat had to go to another vet on a Saturday and they then had to send the records to Island cats, and it said he was aggressive.  This is not how he is usually, and I am sure it had to do with the atmosphere this place has vs a busy dog/cat clinic.
The time that Dr.Marshall spends talking to you when you have an appt is longer and more informative than any vet I have even taken my pets to.  I only wish he saw dogs. Heck, I wish my family physician was this good!
