What's available?  We're able to send you most prescription medications for cats, as well as over-the-counter supplements and parasite treatments for cats and dogs.  If you're tired of needing a written prescription to pick up your Hills diets at alternate hospitals, or are unable to pick them up from Island Cats after-hours or on the weekend, you can order them online 24-hours a day and Vetsource will deliver it to your door. 

 

You do not need to be a current patient with Island Cats to obtain over-the-counter supplies.  Island Cats considers Prescription Diets to be neutraceuticals and does not require a written prescription from your veterinarian.  Please be sure you are ordering the correct diet for your dog or cat.  If you are not sure about your pet's nutritional requirements, contact your veterinarian to verify what is most appropriate. 

 

All FDA-regulated prescription medications require a current doctor-patient relationship with Island Cats.  Your cat must have a current physical exam (within the last 12 months) to be defined by the WSVMA as a "current doctor-patient relationship".  For cats with chronic conditions, the timeframe may be shorter than 12 months in order to verify that your cat is at the most appropriate dose for his/her age or condition.  Please contact Island Cats if you are unsure about your cat's current care plan or recheck schedule.
